2,135 registered services across the four UK nations are registered to provide drug and alcohol support, with 6,751 registered places between them. This is the regulators’ own registration category, not a judgement about how well any service does it.
What this list is
Every regulator records the categories of people a service is registered to support. A home registered for drug and alcohol support has been approved to provide it and is inspected on that basis. It does not follow that the service is currently taking admissions, that it specialises in this above everything else, or that its care is better than a home without the registration.
Where a service advertises a speciality it is not registered for, that claim is not in this data and is not repeated here.
